Harleysville Man Dies in Rollover Crash
Written by Kelly Chandler, Staff Writer
2013-07-10

Lower Salford Police announced Wednesday afternoon they are investigating the death of a Harleysville man after he was found deceased behind the wheel of a car in the early morning hours of July 10.

Police said the man, whom they are not identifying until the next of kin is notified, was found at the scene of a single-vehicle collision around 3:28 a.m. in the 700 block of Schlosser Road in Lower Salford.  Authorities said the man was northbound in a 2002 Saturn station wagon when his vehicle went off the east side of the road and crashed into two trees.

The collision caused the vehicle to overturn, police said.

The man was declared dead at the scene, officials said.

Harleysville Area Emergency Medical Services, Skippack Ambulance, Harleysville Fire Department and Harleysville Fire Police assisted Lower Salford Police at the scene.

An investigation into the crash continues.  Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash to contact Lower Salford Police at (215)256-9500.
