Carl M. Kemp
2013-07-05

                Carl M. Kemp, 87, of Palm, PA, passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2013.  He was the husband of Claudine “Dinee” (Stump) Graber Kemp, and formerly the late Mildred (Millhouse) Kemp.

                Born in Topton, Berks County, PA, he was the son of the late John M. and Sallie (Stoudt) Kemp.

                He served his country honorably in the United States Marine Corps during WWII, at Guadalcanal and Okinawa.  Carl was a self-employed building contractor, carpenter and plumber.  He built many custom homes in the area.

                Surviving, with his wife, are two daughters,  Karlene and her husband, Keith Brintzenhoff, of Kutztown and Robin and her husband, Dennis Moyer of Macungie; three step-sons, Richard Graber and his wife, Patricia, of Waban, MA, Terry Graber and his wife, Maura of Hillsborough, NJ and Kenneth Graber, and his wife, Kim of Palm; six grandchildren, Jesse, Rebecca, and Amanda Shoemaker; Angela Moyer, Jacob and Katina Brintzenhoff; five step-grandsons, Keith, Kevin, Shawn, Eric, and Matthew Graber; three great- grandchildren and 1 step-great-grandson; two sisters, Marie Frederick, of Nazareth and Ruby Carson, of Red Hill; one brother, Dennis Kemp, of Quakertown; and many nieces and nephews.

                He was predeceased by a daughter, Darlene (Kemp) Shoemaker and two sisters, Mae (Kemp) Bogert, and Betty (Kemp) Estoch.

                A memorial luncheon will be held at a later date at the convenience of the immediate family.
