Everette Walter Dority, 97, of Cayucos, CA died Monday, June 3, 2013 at his home surrounded by family.
Everette was born in May 1916 in Hanford, CA. His first job was driving a school bus while still in high school and then attended local college. In 1941 he moved into a job in banking and married the girl of his dreams, Barbara. That bond lasted 72 years until Barbara’s passing in Jan. 2013.
Everette enlisted in the Air Force and proudly served 4 years, stationed in Europe during WWII.
After the war they made their home in Hanford and he returned to the financial industry eventually owning his own savings & loan company with a partner. Everette then changed careers and started Smith and Dority Realty in Hanford. His dream was to always live on the central coast. He and his wife built their dream home and retired to Cayucos, living there until their passing.
Everette leaves behind his loving children Bill Dority of East Greenville, PA and Jim Dority of Cayucos, CA; grandchildren, Megan of Cayucos, Erin of Reading, PA and Brian of Boyertown, PA; great grandchildren, Michael, Piper, and Abigail.
“Death leaves a heartache that no one can heal. Love leaves memories that no one can steal.” You will be missed.
