Grand View Hospital Announces New Chief Operating Officer, J. Mark Horne
2013-03-20

Grand View Hospital is pleased to announce that J. Mark Horne has been promoted to the newly created position of Senior Vice President/Chief Operating Officer. Horne was most recently Senior Vice President/Clinical and Support Services, a position he has held since June 2004.

Grand View Hospital CEO Jean M. Keeler, JD, told a staff of nearly 2,000 employees, “Those of you who know Mark, know him to be insightful, focused, and committed to the patients and staff of Grand View. I could not be more pleased with his acceptance of this new position and his willingness to take an even larger role in guiding Grand View in the future.”
Horne has been an integral part of the senior management team since joining the hospital as Vice President of Clinical and Support Services in 1998. In that time, Horne has fulfilled an increasingly expanding scope of responsibility, with oversight of a variety of departments including clinical areas; facilities; engineering, maintenance and environmental services; and food services. In addition to his operational duties, Horne has held administrative responsibility for all hospital building projects since 1998, totaling more than $90 million in new construction, expansion and renovation work. This includes the construction of Grand View’s Outpatient Centers at Harleysville, Quakertown and Sellersville.
In his new role, Horne joins Kathy Burkey, RN, Vice President/Chief Nursing Officer, in overseeing the majority of clinical services offered at Grand View Hospital. Additionally, Horne will have senior management responsibility for much of the hospital workforce with new administrative responsibility for Human Resources and departments reporting to it, including Volunteer Services.
