Quakertown Farmers Market to Host Trick or Treating, 20th Annual Halloween Costume Parade

                The Quakertown Farmers Market has announced that it will once again host trick or treating throughout the farmers market on Saturday, October 27, at 1 p.m. The howl is out for all ghosts and goblins to fly on over to the farmers market dressed in you Halloween costumes and join us for an afternoon full of fun and trick or treating.

                Line up outside Exit #18 at 12:45 p.m. in the appropriate age category and join the Halloween costume parade through the great Quakertown Farmers Market. As a reminder, the parade begins promptly at 1 p.m. Immediately following trick or treating, the parade will proceed outside to the stage area for costume judging and prize awarding.
                 “This is the 20th Annual Costume Parade and Contest at the market and speaking as the management and as a merchant, it is definitely one of our favorite times of the year here,” commented Kathy Chaney, Assistant Market Manager and Secret Ingredient Bakery owner. “Merchants really enjoy giving out treats and spending the afternoon with the many ghouls and goblins that parade throughout the market, it’s a terrific day for everyone!         
                Prizes are awarded for the most creative and entertaining costumes. There are four separate categories which are “Pre-School, 0-5”, “Pre-teen, 6-12 years”, “Teen, 13-17 years” and the Family Group Category. Prizes include a $250 Market Buck Grand Prize Winner and (3) - $50 Market Buck Runner Up Prizes, A $100 Market Buck Category Prize for each of the four Age Groups and a $25 Market Buck Prize for each of the Category Runners Up.
                Families are encouraged to spend the day at the market, following the parade why not take the family to the carnival? The carnival will be here all weekend and open Friday, Saturday and Sunday for everyone’s enjoyment. Shoppers are reminded and invited to shop the wide selection of seasonal merchandise offered at the Quakertown Farmers Market including costumes, pumpkins, garden plantings and decorations, trick or treat goodies, Halloween candies and cupcakes, apples for apple bobbing, party supplies – everything you need for that uforgettable Halloween celebration. Quakertown Farmers Market wishes everyone a safe and happy Halloween.
