Charles J. Morrotto, Sr.
Charles J. Morrotto, Sr., 87, of Green Lane, passed away August, 24, 2012 in his home surrounded by family.
Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Vincenzo and Maria (Cataldo) Morrotto.
He worked with PennDOT for over twenty years as a road construction foreman, retired in 1987.
He was a World War II veteran, having served in the United States Marines. He was a member of the Green Lane Fire Company and VFW Post 5954 of Red Hill.
He is survived by children, Linda Mangini and husband, Lou of Florida, Vincent Morrotto of North Wales, Angela Schlegel and husband Steven K. of Green Lane and Kevin C. Morrotto and wife, Lisa M. of Coopersburg; 10 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
He is predeceased by a son, Charles J. Morrotto, Jr., a daughter-in-law, Debra A. Morrotto, one brother and one sister.
Relatives and friends were invited to his services 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at Christ Reformed Church at Indian Creek, 171 Church Road, Telford, with Pastor Scott L. Nice officiating. A visitation was held for one hour prior in the church. Cremation services were entrusted to Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, East Greenville.
