Claude C. Stephenson, III
Claude C. Stephenson III, 68, passed away August, 17, 2012 in his home surrounded by family.
Born in Germantown, Claude was the son of Frances L. (Mills) Stephenson of Media and the late Claude C. Stephenson, Jr.
In 2003, he retired from Merck as a mechanical engineering supervisor and also had worked at Lukens Steel in Coatesville for 18 years. He was a Penn State graduate and member of the Alumni Association. He had a passion for cars and was a proud member of the Road Angels car club. He was also a member of Christiana Lodge #417 F&AM and Reading Rajah Shrine.
In addition to his mother, Claude is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Patricia A. (Somerday) Stephenson, his beloved children, Claude C. Stephenson IV and wife, Kristen, of Red Hill, Kimberly D. Baker and husband, Dennis, of Millersville, Lisa A. Butler and husband, Fred, of Cochranville, Jennifer L. Bricker, of Limerick and grandchildren, Travis and Abby Butler, Mandy and Eric Baker, Erin Thomas and Camryn and Hailey Bricker. He is also survived by his sister, Donna Hancock and husband, Sam of Media. He was predeceased by a sister, Anita A. McCormack.
Relatives and friends were invited to his services at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville. Interment followed in Frieden’s Union Cemetery, Sumneytown. A viewing was held at 11:00 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. with a Masonic Funeral Service at 12:15 p.m. at the funeral home.
