Lorraine Adele Buckingham Godshall Harvey, 78, died on July 30, 2012 at Easton Nursing Center. Born on Aug. 7, 1933 in Green Lane, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Miriam Buckingham.
Lorraine was a 1951 graduate of East Greenville High School where she enjoyed softball and band. she was also part of the “Lucky Seven.” Lorraine was married to Richard Godshall of Red Hill, who died in 1964. She later married and divorced Gilbert Harvey. While residing in Red Hill, she worked for the American Olean Tile Co. in Lansdale and retired from the Pillsbury Co. in East Greenville. She loved the Jersey Shore, bingo, card playing, gardening, the Pennsburg Diner, the Phillies and the Eagles.
Lorraine is survived by her three children: David Godshall of Reston, Virginia, Michael Godshall of Norristown, and Kim Godshall (Brian Blasic), of Readington, New Jersey. She was predeceased by her sister, Marie Bergey, and her two brothers, Claire and John Buckingham.
Lorraine will always be remembered for her many attributes, especially her devotion to her children, her smile, and her caring ways. She was also a good friend and neighbor.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 6, 2012 at 12:00 noon at Monaghan Funeral Home, 612 Main St., Red Hill, PA 18076. A viewing will precede the service from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at the funeral home. Interment will follow in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Cemetery, 1244 St. Paul’s Church Rd., Red Hill, PA 18076.
