Clem (Jack) Shamus passed away on May 27, 2012 in Mount Dora, Florida.
He was born October 20, 1933, to Clement and Anna Shamus in Pennsburg. He was the second of five children.
Jack’s love of music began at the age of three, while sitting on a fence singing to the pigs on his Dad’s farm. He continued playing guitar, writing songs and singing throughout his life.
Jack spent 20 years in the U.S. Army, assigned to the Armed Forces Radio and Television Network and retired as a Master Sergeant (E8). He also worked for FEMA as an Information Officer for 20 years.
Jack is survived by wife, Connie (O’Conner) Shamus and children, Diane/Chris Lovely, Anna/Frank Dorroh, Hank Shamus, Joanne/David Rose, and Suzy/Marc Kaczmarek; stepchildren, Wendy/Robert Chubb, Cindy Godshall/Mark Gerhardt, Andrew/Laura Gaul; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and his siblings, brothers, Larry/Betty Shamus, Joe/Karen Shamus and his sister, Peggy/Pat Shamus.
