Oscar E. Sturkey

2012-06-07

Oscar E. “Ed” Sturkey, 79, of Perkiomenville, died June 5, 2012 at home. He was the loving husband of Betty Lou(Miller) Sturkey.

He was born and raised in Virginia, and served his country honorably in the Navy. He was employed as a knife technician at the former C.L. Sturkey, Inc. in Perkiomenville for many years.

Surviving, with his wife, are daughters: Roxanne Sturkey, of Perkiomenville, and Patricia Warren, of Virginia; brothers: Thomas, of Bristol, and Frankie, of Virginia; five grandchildren; and two great-granddaughters. He was predeceased by a son, Bernard, in 2009.
