QNB Bank Participates In “Teach Children to Save”
2012-05-03

Four QNB employees recently visited the Quakertown School District’s Richland Elementary School to host a presentation about banking for the third grade classes. The fun, interactive lesson was geared towards building a generation of financially educated consumers. The classroom visit continues the yearly tradition of QNB’s involvement in the American Bankers Association’s (ABA) Teach Children to Save program.

Mary C. Rosenkrans, the Director of Financial Education for the Department of Banking in Pennsylvania, joined the QNB presenters to observe and recognize QNB’s efforts for an article in the Department’s quarterly newsletter. The QNB bankers are not only in the classrooms during April – ongoing presentations are conducted throughout the school year. Also, many area schools’ classes visit local QNB branches for live tours and educational presentations.
