Joan S. Rosenberger
2012-04-26

        Joan S. (Butterweck) Rosenberger, 65, widow of Larry S. Rosenberger, of East Greenville, died Saturday, April 21, 2012 at St. Luke’s Quakertown Hospital.

        Born in Allentown, PA, she was the daughter of the late Ernest F. and Ella M. (Gery) Butterweck.
        She retired in 2008 from the Customer Service Department at Harleysville Insurance after working there for 44 years, then continued to work there part-time until October, 2011.
        She was a longtime member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church where she was a former church council member and was a huge Phillies Fan.
        She will be sadly missed by her brother, Richard Butterweck and wife, Karen of Mount Laurel, NJ, her caregivers; her daughter-in-law, Kate Rosenberger and grandson, Chase of Maple Shade, NJ; and nieces and nephews, Denise Tennison and Kyle Butterweck and Steve, Jill and Rick Butterweck. Along with her husband and parents, she is predeceased by a son, Eric S. Rosenberger and a brother, Gerald Butterweck.
        A viewing and funeral service were held on Wednesday at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville with Pastor Charles E. Romanowski officiating. Interment followed in St. Mark’s Lutheran Cemetery. Offer words of comfort at www.mannslonakerfuneralhome.com.
        In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to St. Mark’s Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 81 N. Main Street, Pennsburg, PA 18073.
