East Greenville Cub Scout Pack 244 Holds Annual Pinewood Derby

Shane Clark, center, celebrates his win as he watches his car cross the finish line. During each race, scouts gather at the end of the track to await the outcome of there race.

There were 94 race heats with each car competing eight times on the four-lane aluminum track times. The top four racers will compete again at the District race in March.

Scout Jaxon Rumer places his car on the track in preperation for the start of the race.

 

A tray of Pinewood Derby cars sits waiting their turn to race. Some 50 scouts participated in the event held at the New Goshenhoppen Church. There were also awards given in various categories for car design.
