Domenic F. “Dip” DiNunzio
Domenic F. “Dip” DiNunzio, 90, widower of Ethel V. (Kniesner) DiNunzio, formerly of Pennsburg and Red Hill, died Sunday, Dec. 18 in Lancaster General Hospital.
Born in Ambler, he was a son of the late Frederico and Ida (Pistilli) DiNunzio.
He was the owner of Pennsburg Auto Parts for more than 40 years, retiring in 1985, and also served on the Upper Hanover Planning Commission.
He was a World War II Veteran of the US. Army.
He was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Perkiomen Lodge #595 F&AM in Red Hill, Rajah Temple in Reading, Lehigh Consistory in Allentown and the VFW Post 5954 in Red Hill. He was a former member and past president of the Upper Perkiomen Rotary Club and a former member of the Upper Perkiomen Jaycees. He was an avid golfer and was in several area golf leagues.
Surviving are his daughter, Kathy D. Wetzel and her husband, David, and grandson, Matthew, of Lancaster; and a sister, Katherine Trunk, of Lansdale. Along with his wife and parents, he is predeceased by a brother, Michael DiNunzio of Lansdale.
A funeral service will be at held 11 a.m. Thursday at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington St., East Greenville with Rev. Charles E. Romanowski officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow in St. Mark’s Lutheran Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
