CHARLES H. GERY
Charles H. Gery, 83, of East Greenville, died December 4, 2011. He was the husband of Ruth (Hillegass) Gery.
Born in Hereford, he was a son of the late Clarence and Elsie (Folk) Gery.
He served his country honorably in the US Navy. He began his career at the former Brunner’s Bakery, East Greenville, where he worked for seven years. He then worked for the former Philco Ford in Lansdale for 20 years and he retired from Mercer’s Sheet Metal, Bechtelsville in 1991 after 10 years of service.
Charles was a member of New Goshenhoppen UCC, the Hereford Gun Club, East Greenville Fire Co., and he was a life member of the Great Swamp Fish & Game Club. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved fishing, hunting, and trips to Canada.
Surviving with his wife, are children: Dana, and his wife, Joanne, of Barto; Doreen, wife of Robert Mercer, of Boyertown, Dennis, and his wife, Cindy, of Athens; siblings: Donald, and his wife, Hazel, of Pennsburg; Richard, of Palm; Barbara, wife of Sam Asaris, of Richlandtown; and Barry, and his wife, Jill, of Perkasie; seven grandchildren: Troy Gery and his wife Amy, Brooke, wife of Joshua Meck, Chad Gery and his wife Kimberly, Randy Gery and his wife Laura, Brittany wife of Michael Leinbach, Ben Gery, and Daniel Gery and Krista Thomas; and 2 great-grandchildren: Kaleb and Brayden Gery. He was pre-deceased by a brother, Clarence Gery Jr. Services: 11 a.m. on Thursday, at the Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory, Pennsburg.
