Revivals Restaurant in Perkasie to Host Community Give Back Program
2011-12-01

On December 11, 2011 Revivals Restaurant at 4 South Ridge Road in Perkasie, will be hosting an all-day event that will benefit local families and individuals in the community.

The ownership and staff believe that while life deals us daily struggles, we are truly blessed, and would love nothing more than to give what we can back to those who have fallen on harder times.
Through local schools and churches we have adopted several families to help this holiday season. By providing clothes, toys and in some cases food we hope to bring holiday joy to some of those who are less fortunate. We are asking for help in this endeavor.
What is most important is that we are concentrating on our neighborhoods; with a major focus here in the Upper Bucks Area.
There are three parts to this Community Give Back: First, beginning November 25 in the lobby of Revivals Restaurant is a “Giving Tree/Angel Tree” that holds information about individuals and their needs and how you can help. For example, a 10 year old girl may need a winter coat or a 5 year old boy may love art.
Secondly, with the economy the way it is today, the shelves are pretty empty at most food pantries. We are holding a non perishable food drive for our local food bank located in Quakertown which serves the Upper Bucks Area. A box will be available for food drop off and all contributions will be greatly appreciated. Remember in addition to cans, we can also stock the shelves with items such as cereal, pasta, rice, peanut butter and so on.
Lastly we are holding a clothing drive that we are calling “With Loving Tags”. Most of us have some article of clothing that we love that is still hanging in our closet with the tags still on. We are waiting for a place to wear it or for it to fit us better. We really love it and are hanging on to it. We are donating those items to a local closet to again, help those less fortunate. We know that they will love it just as much as you do. This three part community give back is for our local area. Can you imagine the difference we could make if everyone who knows about this could contribute to just one of three programs.
The Community Give Back is an opportunity to make a difference in people’s lives. Please join us on December 11 from 1p.m. on to celebrate this time of giving and help some people in our own communities to have a happy holiday. Donations will be received and appreciated anytime before December 20.
