Edna M. Fox
Edna M. “Pepsi” (Kuhns) Fox, 83, of Pennsburg, died Friday, October 21, 2011 at Chestnut Knoll in Boyertown. She was the wife of Donald “Shad” Fox, celebrating 63 years of marriage on September 25.
Born in East Greenville, she was a daughter of the late Lloyd and Amy (Benfield) Kuhns.
She was a seamstress at the former Wismer’s Clothing Co. in Pennsburg for over 20 years before retiring, then was a bus driver for Levy Bus Co. for many years.
She was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Pennsburg, where she was a former Sunday School teacher. She was also a member of the American Legion Post #184 Ladies Auxiliary.
She bowled in the American Legion Ladies Bowling League for 60 years and participated at 25 (WIBC) National Bowling Tournaments placing as high as 15th out of the 30,000 bowlers. She also enjoyed crocheting and rug making and doing genealogy as a hobby.
Surviving, along with her husband, are three sons: Brian D. Fox and wife, Karen, of Lewisburg, Gary K. Fox and wife, Lorraine, of East Greenville and Darin R. Fox and wife, Lori, of Barto; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Along with her parents, she is predeceased by brothers, Curtis and Ray Kuhns and two infant twin brothers.
A viewing and funeral service were held 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, 81 N. Main Street, Pennsburg 18073 with the Rev. Charles E. Romanowski and the Rev. William A. Fluck officiating. Interment followed in St. Mark’s Lutheran Cemetery.
