Matthew J. Reptsik
2011-10-19

 

        Matthew J. Reptsik, age 91, formerly of Philadelphia and Doylestown, passed away peacefully in his sleep, at LifeQuest Nursing Center, Quakertown, on Octobber 14, 2011. He was the husband of the late Margaret A. (Way) Reptsik, to whom he was married 63 years.
        Born in Philadelphia, Matthew was the son of the late Mathias and Julianna (Krause) Reptsik.
        Matthew honorably served in the Army during WWII, attaining the rank of staff sergeant. He was a maintenance electrician whose last employment was the former Paramount Packaging Co. of Chalfont.
        He is survived by two sons: Robert J. Reptsik and wife, Barbara I,. of Harleysville, Martin J. Reptsik, of Felton; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and many nephews and nieces. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, his twin Julia Sheppard and Elizabeth Petruck.
        Relatives and friends attended his funeral on Wednesday, October 19, at Williams-Bergey-Koffel Funeral Home, 667 Harleysville Pike, Telford (Franconia Township), where the family received friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. with funeral beginning at 11:00. Interment will take place at Whitemarsh Memorial Park Thursday at 10:00 a.m.
