Betty J. Nace

Betty J. Nace, 84, of Palm, died September 25, 2011 in Saucon Valley Manor, Hellertown after a lengthy illness. She was the wife of Elmer C. Nace. They were married 64 years last November.

Born in New Castle Township, Schuylkill County, she was the daughter of the late Jacob and Margaret (Matthews) Kramer.

She retired in 1988 from the Pillsbury Company in East Greenville.

Betty enjoyed bingo, yard sales and going to the casinos. She also enjoyed spending her winters with her husband in Florida.

She was a member of Christ’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Trumbauersville.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Judy Strock, (Terry), of LaFargeville, New York, David, (Barbara), of East Greenville, Debbie Dierolf, (John), of Palm, and Brenda Hartley, (Kevin), of Quakertown; a sister, Pearl McLean of North Carolina; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a sister, Nancy Heist.

Services will be held on Thursday, September 29, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in Christ’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1 Luther Lane, Trumbauersville, Pa. Calling hour 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. in the church. The C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. (www.crstrunk.com) Quakertown is in charge of the arrangements.

In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
