Otis W. Slack
2011-09-29

 

        Otis W. Slack, 86, of Titlow Road, East Greenville, and formerly of Main Street, East Greenville, died Saturday, September 24, 2011 in Pennsburg Manor Nursing Home. He was the husband of Esther R. (Marks) Slack, celebrating 62 years of marriage on December 18, 2010.
        Born in Washington, D.C., he was a son of the late Otis M. and Jessie L. (Barbee) Slack.
        He worked as a weaver at the Bally Ribbon Mill for 18 years, retiring in 1990. Prior to that he worked as the former Rayflex Manufacturing in Red Hill for 20 years. 
        He was a U. S. Navy veteran of World War II, serving in the Pacific Theatre and was a member of the American Legion Post #184, East Greenville.
        He will be sadly missed by his wife; Esther; daughter, Linda D. Renninger, and her husband, Lester, of East Greenville; son, James W. Slack, and wife, Renee Moses, of East Greenville; sister, Imogene Davis, and husband, Corbett, of Gulf Breeze, Florida; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Robert L. Slack.
        There are no services scheduled at this time. Cremation services are by the Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville.
