Margaret A. Neas

Margaret A. (Kooker) Neas, 81, widow of Lester L. Neas, of Apple Street, Red Hill, died Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at Belle Haven Nursing Home.

Born in Milford Township, Bucks County, she was a daughter of the late Howard and Katie (Gaugler) Kooker.

She was a seamstress at the former Jennifer Ann Frocks and Ladies and Friends for many years before retiring in 1991.

She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Spinnerstown, where she was a member of the Ladies Aide Club. She also enjoyed puzzle books, playing cards and spending time with her family.

Margaret will be sadly missed by her children, Rick L. Neas, of Red Hill and Luann M., wife of Les Wright, of East Greenville; three sisters: Dorothy, wife of Elmer Brinckman, of Quakertown, Shirley, wife of Raymond Wolf, of Quakertown and Gloria, wife of Paul Styer, of Pennsburg; six grandsons: Rick L. Neas, Jr., Robert L. Neas, Brian L. Neas, Andrew J. Kirka, Kenneth E. Smith and Joshua A. Moyer and a great-grandson, Alexander Neas. Along with her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a son, Barry L. Neas.

A funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 9, 2011 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 1565 Sleepy Hollow Road, Spinnerstown with the Rev. Paul Chapman officiating. Interment followed in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, Spinnerstown. Family and friends attended a viewing from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. Friday at the church.
