Katie Sherman, devoted wife of Daniel Sherman III, of Palm, PA, passed away after a lengthy illness at Belle Terrace, Quakertown, PA on Tuesday, July 21,

2026.  She was 79.

            She was born in Sellersville, one of six children born to the late John and Katie (Walker) Ferkins.

            For Katie, family was the center of her life and she was the center of it. She loved spending time with her many siblings and extended family members until her health struggles prevented her from doing so.

            In addition to her husband, she leaves to cherish her memory: a son, Daniel IV; a sister: Shirley Miller and her husband Allen, four step-grandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by siblings: Margie, Johnny, David and Andrew.

            Relatives and friends are invited to gather at Friedens Union Cemetery in Sumneytown for a graveside service on Saturday, August 1, 2026 at 11 a.m. A gathering for friends and family will be held afterwards at the Green Lane Firehouse.
