Perkiomen's American Legion baseball team has dropped two straight games for the first time this season. It lost 14-8 to Nor-Gwyn on Tuesday in the Bux-Mont League.

            The visiting Hawks built an early 6-0 lead. They scored five runs in the second inning at Bonekemper Field. Starting pitcher Lucas Stahler earned the victory by completing five innings.

            Indians starting pitcher Ryan Cairns absorbed the loss. He worked into the second inning.

            Benjamin Sands, the third of four Post 184 pitchers, tossed a team-high three innings. Jonathan Lewis and Jordin Dice also took the mound. 

            Stephen Mumford and Ryan Cairns each scored twice for Perkiomen, which scored twice in the third inning and rallied for five in the fifth inning.
            Over the weekend, Post 184 lost for only the second time in its last six games to Doylestown. The host Tigers parlayed a second-inning rally into a 10-2 victory on Sunday, July 5.

            Post 210 took an early 5-0 lead against Jackson Long with a second-inning rally. The team took advantage of three Indians errors to add two runs in the bottom of the fourth and three more in the fifth at War Memorial Field.

            A three-run single by Vincent Chila highlighted the third-inning outburst. Noah Gerstein finished with three hits.

            Ernie Sanchez earned the win for Doylestown. He allowed two runs and five hits over five innings.

            Zane Saeger delivered a game-high three hits, including a double, for Perkiomen (8-4-1), which scored both its runs during the top of the third inning. Cole Pierce drove in Saeger and Anthony Curcio on a single.

            Last week, Pierce and Ben Godshall led the team to a 6-2 road victory over Chal-Brit. Pierce posted a team-high three hits, and Godshall went the distance on the mound.
            Pierce drove in three runs. He delivered RBI hits during the first and third innings at North Branch Park to put the team ahead 2-0.
            Mumford and Grayson Sabo each finished with two hits. Both drove in a run during Perkiomen's four-run rally in the seventh inning. Jackson Long finished with a hit and an RBI.
            Godshall permitted four hits while striking out seven to secure his team's sixth win in its last eight games. He threw 78 pitches and did not issue a walk.

            One day earlier, the Indians played Doylestown to a 6-6 tie. They scored twice in the bottom of the seventh at Bonekemper Field to force an extra inning and overcome seven errors.
            Sabo's homer in the seventh inning highlighted the rally. He added a triple and finished with three RBI.
            Pierce registered three hits. including two doubles, and drove in two runs for Post 184, which rallied from a 6-2 deficit. Godshall stole two bases and scored two runs.
            Cairns, its third pitcher, tossed three shutout innings to allow his team to overcome the deficit. He came on in the fifth inning and permitted two hits and two walks while striking out three. Godshall retired the side in the eighth inning.
            The visiting Tigers, who received eight walks to build a four-run lead after four innings. Matthew Sharkey posted two hits and drove in two runs.
