Walter J. Sailer Jr.
2026-07-05

            Walter J. Sailer Jr., beloved husband of Charlotte A. (Kolbush) Sailer, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Friday, July 3, 2026 at his East Greenville 

home. He was 80.

            Walter was born in Philadelphia to the late Walter J. Sr. and Veronica (Burns) Sailer.

             He was a graduate of Cardinal Dougherty High School in 1962 and served his country as a member of the Army National Guard. Walt was a dedicated employee, working in Teflon processing for Porter Processing for 37 years before retiring. In retirement, he drove a school bus for the Upper Perkiomen School District for 8 years.

           Walter's passions were Philadelphia sports teams, especially the Eagles and Phillies, as well as, Notre Dame. He was also the biggest fan of Pink Floyd, a passion he passed on and shared with his family. Beyond that, Walter loved Corvettes and enjoyed showing his cars, most notably at Corvettes for Kids. He was also a member of the East Greenville Owls and Palm American Legion.

            In addition to his wife of 30 years, he leaves behind a beloved family: his son, David Sailer and wife Annette; step-son: Vincent Helo; grandchildren: Camryn, Emily and Lukas; step-grandchildren: Cheyenne and husband Caleb, Erika and husband Dakota and Daulton; great-grandchildren: Piper, Miles and Brinley; sisters: Barbara Hee and husband Rudy, Joan Brown and husband Michael as well as several nieces and nephews.

            A celebration of Walter's life will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington St., East Greenville, PA. A viewing will be held from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., followed by the celebration ceremony.

            In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to a charity of your choice.
