Jose Miguel Gamboa
2026-06-01

Jose Miguel Gamboa, 74, of Hereford, passed away unexpectedly on May 25, 2026. He was the beloved spouse of the late Donna Jean Sivco. Born in

Durango, Mexico on December 6, 1951, he was the son of the late Maria (Gonzalez) Winsch.

Jose was a Jack of all trades in construction with the exception of electrical, finding his niche as a drywall hanger and finisher, mastering his technique over 40+ years. After retiring, he stayed motivated by continuing to work side jobs. No job was too tough for him as he liked the challenge.

You might have run into him at any of his regular spots, whether it was at Wawa getting his coffee, Fiesta Habanero getting his tacos (no onions!) or at the Pennsburg Diner, ordering his "usual". A skilled player of dominoes, he usually beat everyone he played but maybe it was because he was always the score keeper.

He had excellent taste in music and just about every song was his "favorite song", playing it loud enough for the neighbors to enjoy.

Maybe you knew him as Jose, Joe, Mike or Michael, but you always recognized his iconic fashion with his white button-down shirt with the sleeves rolled up and his Levi blue jeans. He gave us so many memories, individual and unique to each person. He meant so much and will be missed terribly by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Surviving are his children, Pamela Gamboa (Chad) and Jesse Gamboa; grandchildren: Braden, Maria, Jena, and Savannah; siblings: Gilbert Gamboa (Louise), Olga Gamboa, Patty Blumenstock (Eric), Veronica Winsch, and Robert Winsch (Erica); and many aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held on June 20, 2026 at the Hereford Fire Co at 2 p.m.

Falk Funeral Homes and Crematory, Pennsburg are in charge of arrangements.
