Doris Mae Renninger
2026-04-13

Doris Mae Renninger, age 96, of East Greenville, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on April 10, 2026. Born December 21, 1929, in Pennsburg, PA, Doris was the daughter of the late Linford and Anna (Rosenberger) Cressman.

She was the beloved wife of the late Franklin Renninger, he affectionately called her "Mum," who passed away in 2013. She was also the loving mother of Theresa Giberson, who sadly lost her battle with cancer too soon in 2001.

Doris had a deep love for gardening and found great joy in her yard, spending many peaceful afternoons outdoors. She cherished time with her family and created lasting memories with those she loved dearly. Doris had a heart for everyone she met and lived a life marked by quiet selflessness, often placing the needs of others before her own. Her kindness and generosity left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

A familiar and comforting presence in the community, Doris was someone everyone knew and could count on. She had a special way of finding beauty in life and often described the things she loved as "just lovely".

A devoted member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Red Hill, Doris was deeply committed to her faith and church community. She shared her faith, love, and compassion with others through teaching Sunday school and actively participating in church life.

Doris is survived by her grandchildren: Brett McEllroy and his wife, Kelly, of Fleetwood; Sean McEllroy of Emmaus; and Stacey McEllroy of Emmaus. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, and her siblings: Bruce Cressman and his wife, Shirley, of Pennsburg; Gerald Cressman and his wife, Judi, of Red Hill; and Mary Hunsberger of Souderton.

In addition to her husband and daughter, Doris was preceded in death by her siblings, Eugene Cressman and Hazel Beard.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Doris's life at a funeral service on April 16, 2026, at 11 a.m. at Falk Funeral Homes and Crematory, 163 Main Street, Pennsburg, PA. A public viewing will be held prior to the service, beginning at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Mark's Cemetery, 747 Penn Street, Pennsburg, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Open Link, Pennsburg (https://theopenlink.org/).

Arrangements have been entrusted to Falk Funeral Home and Crematory, Pennsburg. Condolences may be left at www.connellfalk.com.
