Suzanne Victoria Stepanek
2026-04-13

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we announce the passing of Suzanne Victoria Stepanek. Suzanne was called by her heavenly father early Saturday morning, April 11, 2026, from her home with family by her side after a sudden and devasting illness.

Suzanne was born on January 14, 1950. She was predeceased by her parents Walter and Victoria Stepanek of Cleveland, OH.

Grieving her loss are her husband John Henry Spratt; sister Cheryl Stepanek; brothers Mark and Robert Stepanek; stepdaughters Julie Spratt of San Diego, CA and Janelle Gable (husband Chad Gable) of Northampton, PA; and three hard working step-grandchildren Cassidy Gable, Bethany Gable and Brayden Gable.

Early in life Suzanne called herself a proud and independent Appalachian hippie living in Southern Ohio on a 40-acre farm with no running water. In 1995 she established a new life in a beautiful trailside home in Upper Salford Township, PA that she lovingly maintained until her untimely death.

Suzanne worked as a data analyst for Aetna of Blue Bell, PA for 26 years. In retirement she started her own business paying tribute to times gone by baking fanciful embossed cookies called Springerles that were sold at the local Landis Markets.

She was an avid hiker and crafter, always ready for a new project. Carpentry was her challenging pleasure. Eastern philosophy and its music were a great source of study and enjoyment.

Suzanne was an active member of the community and volunteered at Montgomery County's Big Brothers and Sisters organization, Grand View Hospice, and more recently at the Upper Salford Volunteer Fire Company where she met many new friends who enriched her life.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing from 10-11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 17, 2026, at the R. L. Williams, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc., 3440 Skippack Pike at Cedars Road, Skippack, PA, followed by her Funeral Mass at 12 p.m. at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, 40 Spring Mount Road, Schwenksville, PA. Burial will then take place at Old Goshenhoppen Church Cemetery in Schwenksville, PA.

For those who wish to honor Suzanne's memory, a donation can be made to the Liver Cancer Foundation of the American Cancer Society.

Online condolences may be made to the family at www.RLWilliamsFuneralHome.com.
