Michael Joseph Reck, Sr.
2026-04-13

            Michael Joseph Reck, Sr., 83, of East Greenville, passed away at St. Luke's Hospice House on Wednesday, April 8, 2026.  Born July 27, 1942, he was the son of the late Francis and Gladys (Klemick) Reck. 

            He was the husband of Darlene L. (Derr) Reck, with whom he shared 37 years of marriage before her passing in 2024. 

            Michael worked as a barber for over 66 years before his retirement in 2024.  In his spare time, Mike was an avid boater who enjoyed boating excursions anywhere including the Poconos, Canada, and the Chesapeake.  He also enjoyed fishing, crabbing, and spending time caring for his garden.  He was a proud, honorary member of the East Greenville Lions Club.

            Michael is survived by Son, Scott Reck (Crystal), and his children Ariel Treanor (Christopher), Joshua Reck, Judah Reck, Daughter, Dana Miller (Mark), and her son Branden Miller (Sue), predeceased by son, Michael J. Reck, Jr., survived by daughter in law Kathy Reck Jabs (Scott), children Cortney Reck Cochran (Mike) and Zak Reck (Mackenzie), also survived by sister, Nancy Fiorito (Tom), Janet Macenka (Mike), brother in law, Dennis Glass (Kathleen), and 6 great-grandchildren.  He was also predeceased by his brothers, Bernard and Robert Reck.

           A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at Heintzelman Stephens Funeral Home, 274 N. Krocks Rd., Allentown, PA 18106, at 11 a.m.  A viewing will be held from 10-11 a.m., prior to the service.
