Brody Weiss delivered the key play with his legs in Upper Perkiomen's third straight win on Tuesday. Andrew Nagata and Topher Burns preserved a 5-4 non-league victory over Fleetwood at Bonekemper Field.
Weiss stole third base with one out in the bottom of the fifth inning with the score tied 4-4. He then scored the game-winning run on a passed ball for the Indians (3-0).

Nagata and Burns combined to toss 4 2/3 shutout innings in relief. Nagata earned the mound victory while striking out seven over 2 2/3 frames. Burns earned a two-inning save to complete a stretch of consecutive wins over three Berks Conference League opponents.
According to head coach Bobby Saeger, the Tribe is ready to begin the Pioneer Athletic Conference schedule on Wednesday, March 25, against Norristown. He said the team has played solid defense and run the bases exceptionally during its initial three games.
Upper Perkiomen committed just one error against the visiting Tigers. The team stole four bases, including Weiss' swipe of third during the fifth inning with his team trailing 4-3.
Jordin Dice led off the inning with a double and moved to third on Weiss' bunt single. Jack Rieg's bunt plated Dice with the tying run. After taking third base on a close play, Weiss raced home when a pitch deflected off the glove of Fleetwood catcher Mason Weismuller.
Weiss finished with two hits, including an RBI-double in the third inning for the Indians. Benjamin Sands delivered a run-scoring single during the second inning. Two Fleetwood throwing errors on the play allowed him to circle the bases.
The Indians secured their second straight win with a sixth-inning outburst against Oley Valley. They scored 13 runs off three pitchers to secure a 22-7 non-league win on Thursday, March 19.
Saeger finished with four hits, including a three-run home run during the second inning, scored three runs and drove in a team-high eight runs for the Tribe, which collected 22 hits. Grayson Sabo notched three doubles.
Weiss posted three hits, while Sabo scored two runs and drove in two. Stephen Mumford drove in three runs.
Sands and Ben Godshall both scored four runs as the Tribe extended a 9-7 advantage through five innings. Logan Fijalkowski scored three runs.
The Indians, who received eight walks and stole five bases, sent 17 hitters to the plate during the sixth inning, banging out six hits. Twelve reached base before the Lynx recorded an out.
Sabo delivered two of his doubles during the frame. The second one drove in two runs. Mumford added a two-run double, while Saeger capped his day with a two-run single.
Sabo, the Tribe's starting pitcher, allowed two runs during three innings of work. He walked two and struck out two.
Burns worked the fourth inning, allowing five runs (three unearned) on four hits. Rieg tossed two shutout innings, scattering two hits and striking out three.
One day earlier, the Tribe opened its season with a shutout win over Schuylkill Valley. Three pitchers combined to allow three hits in an 8-0 win at home.
Godshall, Fijalkowski and Sands registered nine strikeouts collectively. Godshall, the starter, permitted one hit while striking out three over three frames.
In three innings of relief, Fijalkowski surrendered two hits while fanning five. Sands retired the side in the seventh inning, striking out two.
Offensively, the Tribe maximized seven walks and 10 stolen bases. Jack Rieg and Nathan Schramm each delivered two of the team's five hits. Rieg drove in a run and scored once.
Weiss finished with a hit, two RBIs and stole three bases for Upper Perkiomen, which scored four runs during the third inning to extend a 1-0 lead.
