Catherine "Kay" or "Cassie" Hohlfeld (nee Cameron) passed away peacefully on Thursday January 8, 2026. She resided in Norristown for almost all of her life, and
resided at The Lutheran Community in Telford for the last several years where she received wonderful and compassionate care.
Born June 17, 1934 in Norristown, she was the daughter of the late James S. and Catherine (nee Costello) Cameron. She was the beloved wife of the late William "Bill" H. Hohlfeld for fifty years.
Catherine was devoted to her family and an ardent supporter of their every endeavor. She was a frequent presence at her grandchildren's sporting events, school activities and musical productions, always with a smile and words of encouragement. She was a loyal friend and happy to help as needed.
Known for her cheerful disposition and kind demeanor, she was always ready with fresh flowers or baked goodies. Catherine embodied the spirit of volunteerism, lending her considerable time and energy to many organizations and causes over the years. Her hobbies included floral arranging, crafts, reading and being a collector, especially Santas in every size and style.
Catherine was a graduate of St. Patrick's High School Class of 1952 and involved in communications work in subsequent years. She was employed at Bell Telephone as an operator, then after years of focusing on her children, worked at SEI Investment Company on their trade desk and then finally at Visitation BVM Parish as the Parish Secretary. Over the years she was a devoted and active member of both St. Patrick's Church and Visitation BVM Church.
Catherine was the loving mother of Michele Hohlfeld (William "Bill" Clinton, Jr.), William "Bill" J. Hohlfeld (Sharon) and the late Celeste Ann Hohlfeld. She is survived by her four grand-children, Sam Moss, Nick Clinton, Patrick Hohlfeld and Michael Hohlfeld; and one great grandson, Wesley.
Relatives and friends are invited to share in Catherine's Life Celebration on Friday January 16, from 9:30 AM to 10:50 AM at Visitation BVM Church 190 N. Trooper Rd. Norristown. Her Funeral Mass will begin at 11 AM at the church. Interment will be at St. Patrick's Cemetery.
