Diane (Schaffer) Schwenk
2025-12-01

Diane (Schaffer) Schwenk, a beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 29, 2025,

at the age of 77.

Diane was married to the love of her life, Robert P. Schwenk, for 54 joyful years until his passing in 2022. Their bond was unbreakable, and she devoted herself to caring for him until his last breath. Together, they were each other's everything, and their love story remains a testament to dedication and partnership.

Her journey in life took her from working as a seamstress in local factories to embracing her most cherished role as a homemaker. Diane poured her love into creating a warm and inviting home for her three children— Tina Albano (Robert), Tracy Huber, and Travis Schwenk. In her later years, she found immense joy in caring for her granddaughters, Emily Warner (Companion, Kyle Gardner) and Brittany Huber (Companion, Derrick Smith). She also loved being a doting great-grandmother to Logan Gardner and was looking forward to meeting her soon to be great-granddaughter, Lainey Smith. She was predeceased by her brother David Schaeffer and an infant sister.

She loved the simple pleasures in life - spending evenings watching the races at Grandview Speedway with her husband, tending to her beautiful flowers, and sitting on her porch while birdwatching. She had a flair for decorating, especially during the holidays, and delighted in cooking for her family. Her love for her dogs and her passion for craft stores like Hobby Lobby were reflections of her nurturing spirit.

Diane leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to flourish in the hearts of her family and friends. The family will host a celebration of life on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at 11 a.m. at St. Matthews EC Church, 35 N 5th St, Emmaus, PA 18049.

A gathering and time to greet will follow the service in the fellowship hall.
