Congratulations to Berks, Bucks, and Montgomery counties on their high voter turnout. In particular, Montgomery County had a record turnout of over 50 percent.
Being witness to this unusually high turnout during an "off-year" general election, where judges, school boards, and municipalities rule the ballot, is a special happening.
Political big-heads and wannabes will probably break their hands patting themselves on the back, but in reality, it was you, the voter who made it happen.
So go ahead and pat yourselves on the back. Shake each other's hands. Celebrate.
Whether your candidate won or not, the fact that voters showed up (or mailed their ballot, or used a drop-off site) it is something that you did. Not because you were forced to do it, but because you wanted to do it.
With all the conflicts going on in our country maybe you were trying to send a message with your vote, or maybe you were just supporting your candidate.
This is what our veterans and those still in uniform served for – your right to vote.
On November 4, 2025, one week before Veterans Day, many of you voters thanked them by showing up at the polls.
Well done.
