Boyertown Area Multi-Service (BAMS) is proud to announce a generous $15,000 donation from First Energy Corporation in support of Preston's Food Pantry, a vital program serving local families facing food insecurity.

            This gift comes at a critical time, as September marked Hunger Action Month, a nationwide campaign to raise awareness and inspire action to end hunger. In Pennsylvania alone more than 1.7 million people are facing hunger, including nearly 475,000 children. That means 1 in 8 people and 1 in 6 children across the Commonwealth struggle to find their next meal.

This partnership reflects the power of community collaboration to bring hope and stability to neighbors in need."

            Preston's Food Pantry distributes thousands of pounds of food annually to individuals and families across Berks and Montgomery counties. The $15,000 donation will be used to purchase food, cover transportation costs, and sustain operations to meet the rising demand.
