Calvin H. Jones
2025-09-22

            Calvin H. Jones, of East Greenville, passed away peacefully on September 19, 2025, at the age of 79. Born in Pennsburg, he was the son of the late Elmer and Margarita (Bergstresser) Jones.

            A graduate of Upper Perk High School in 1964, Calvin dedicated over 50 years of his working life to Plummer Precision, where he retired as a supervisor.

            Calvin was married to his beloved wife, Leanette (Mutter) Jones, for what would have been 57 years on September 21st. Their union was a testament to love and partnership, filled with shared joys and dreams. Together, they embraced life and created countless cherished memories.

            In his spare time, Calvin was an avid woodworker, crafting beautiful pieces that reflected his creativity and skill. He also found joy in nurturing his yard and loved socializing and enjoying many breakfasts and dinners out to eat with friends. Above all, he adored his family, offering unwavering love and support, and he had a special fondness for animals.

            Calvin is survived by his devoted wife, Leanette; his son, Scott Jones (Nina); grandchildren, Ashley (Nate), Andrew (Sabrina) and Sam (Kate); seven great-grandchildren; and his sister, Nancy Hamm. He is predeceased by his sister, Doris Sherman.

            A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 25, 2025 at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington St., East Greenville, PA 18041 with a burial to follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Pennsburg.  A viewing will begin at 10 a.m.

            In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Salfid Animal Rescue at www.salfidrescue.org.
