Donald Frederick Breyer Sr., 79, beloved husband of Anita (Hollowbush) Breyer and son of the late Philip and Thelma (Carmean) Breyer, passed away

peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, September 8, 2025.

He was the devoted father of Tammy Skavinsky (Walt), and Donald Breyer Jr. (Laura). He was preceded in death by his daughter Brenda and his sister Phyllis Moyer.

He was a proud grandfather to six grandchildren: Morgan Moore (Tyler Zellers), Sareena Breyer, Mason Breyer (Amber), Savannah Moore, Chase Skavinsky (Matt Harner), and Caitlin Skavinsky. He was also blessed with three great-grandchildren: Bryson Gordon, Reese, and Payton Breyer.

He is also survived by his siblings: Barbara Kline (Charles), Mary Asplen (Ronald), Jake Breyer (Joan), Fred Breyer (Debra), Patricia Rogers (Todd) and Wayne Breyer (the late Donna).

Donald dedicated his life to hard work, beginning as a self-employed roofer before establishing a career with Knoll. He later continued his work life at Small Castings in Bechtelsville, where he ultimately retired.

A member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Red Hill, he also held membership with the Gilbertsville, Pennsburg, and Green Lane Fire Companies. He was a devoted Dallas Cowboys fan and looked forward to sharing Sunday night football and holiday games with his family, creating cherished memories.  He loved spending time outdoors, whether hunting, fishing in Oak Orchard, Delaware, or trips to Herman's Ice Cream Store.
