Edward W Krug, Jr.
2025-08-05

October 2, 1949 – August 2, 2025

Edward W Krug Jr., aged 75, of East Greenville, Pennsylvania, passed away

peacefully at his home on August 2, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Edward was born on October 2, 1949, in Berwick, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Edward W Krug Sr. and Mary M (Hughes) Krug.

He grew up on his parent's lumber yard (Krug's Lumber Yard on 2nd Ave. & Arch St.) and proudly played football for the legendary Dawgs. He went on to pursue a career in counseling, working for the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections.  He also held adjunct faculty appointments at several colleges and universities, contributing to criminal justice programs.

A loving husband to Richarda "Ricki" Krug, Ed was a pillar of strength and support to his family.  Together, they raised two children, Kimberly and Christopher.  He was a devoted father, always there to offer guidance, coach Kim's travel soccer team and spend hours on the baseball field with Chris. Ed was also a cherished grandfather to his grandchildren, Jake and Ally.  Ed is also survived by his sister, Suzanne Johnson.

A private ceremony will be held to honor his memory at New Goshenhoppen UCC.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Gift of Life Donor Program, 401 N 3rd St, Philadelphia, PA 19123, https://www.donors1.org/ in Ed's memory.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.  To quote a close family friend, "Ed will be making big waves in heaven."

Falk Funeral Homes and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
