William Truman III of West Brandywine, formerly Boyertown, passed away
peacefully on Saturday, July 5, surrounded by his family at skilled nursing, Freedom Village at Brandywine. He was the husband of Annette, to whom he was married 58 years. Born in Brookville, PA,
Bill was the son of the late William Truman Jr, and Mary Truman. He was predeceased by his younger brother, David.
Bill graduated from Clarion University in 1960, followed by the University of New Hampshire with a Masters in Chemistry in 1972. He was a passionate teacher of chemistry for the Upper Perkiomen school district for 38 years, as well as a dedicated basketball and track coach. He proudly served his country as a member of the National Guard. He was a committed member of the Optimist Club of Boyertown, Boyertown Masonic Lodge #741, and Scottish Rite Valley of Reading.
Bill loved the Philadelphia sports teams, reading, road trips, golfing, and spending time with his loving family. Bill will be remembered by his loving wife Annette; daughter Lianne Truman of Glenside; son, Christopher Truman and his wife Tracie of Wilmington; granddaughter Vanessa Truman; brother Thomas E Truman and his wife Debi of Clearfield; nieces Kellie Swales and her husband Rob, and Kara Hamilton and her husband Bobby.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, July 10, at the Morrell Funeral Home, 124 W. Philadelphia Ave, Boyertown, PA 19512. Family and friends will be received from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. with a service to follow. Burial will follow at the Fairview Cemetery,
