Kelly Lynn (Halteman) Chandler
2025-06-11

Kelly Lynn (Halteman) Chandler, 47, of Upper Salford Township, was called

to her heavenly home on Saturday, June 7, 2025.  She was the wife of Mark D. Chandler, with whom she shared 19 years of marriage and the mother of three daughters.

Born August 2, 1977, in Sellersville, Kelly was the daughter of Brian M. Halteman and Sharon (Hagey) Halteman.

She faithfully attended Finland Mennonite Church, making certain that her daughters would know and love the Lord she served.

Kelly was a 1995 graduate of Souderton High School and went on to earn her B.A. In English from Gwynedd-Mercy College where she graduated with high honors.

She first worked as a customer service clerk at Henning's Market.  After college she was employed as a writer, correspondent and copy editor of the Town and Country Newspaper from 2003 until 2016.  She then left to work at the Open Link where she worked until shortly before her passing.  She enjoyed her work and touched many people with her kindness and giving spirit.

Kelly especially enjoyed taking yearly family vacations to the mountains where she loved picking blueberries with her children.  She also enjoyed time together with her family in Chincoteague, Virginia as well as camping at Spruce Lake.

Baking and cooking for her family was special to Kelly.  She would often take time to visit with parents, grandparents and extended family- always bringing a special treat or something to share.

Kelly's garden was her joy both to feed her own family and to graciously share with others, in spite of the snakes!

She is survived by her husband and three children Greta, Lucy and Willa.

A celebration of life will be held at Finland Mennonite Church of Pennsburg at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 14th, followed by fruit and desserts.

Interment will be private at Finland Mennonite Church.
