Gladys E. Frantz
2025-05-21

            Gladys E. Frantz, passed away peacefully at Peter Becker Community on

Saturday, May 17, 2025, at the age of 85. Born in Allentown, PA, a daughter of the late Carl and Viola (Gerhart) Weber, Glady's lived a life cherishing her family and the simple joys of life.

            Gladys graduated from Upper Perk High School in 1958 and dedicated over 20 years of her life as an aide and activities coordinator at Peter Becker Community, until her retirement in 2004. Before her time at Peter Becker, she worked at American Olean Tile, Columbia Tape Mills, Styers Convalescent Home, and Red Hill Greenhouse.

            Gladys was married to Earl H. Frantz for many years until his passing in 1987. She is survived by her daughter Karen Bartosh and husband, Richard; granddaughter Jaclyn O'Hara and husband, Sean; great-granddaughter, Emily O'Hara; and siblings, Shirley Miller and husband Kenneth and Harold Weber and wife, Maryann. She is also survived by her step-children, Diane Spangler and husband, Dave and Dean Frantz and wife, Sandy; step-grandchildren, Bradley Spangler, and Krista and Angela Frantz; and three step great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by a sister, Marion Blyle. 

            Gladys was a life member of Palm Schwenkfelder Church, where she was actively involved in the Ladies Aide.

            There will be two funeral services to honor Gladys. The first will be held on May 27th at 2 p.m. at Peter Becker Community Chapel, 2025 800 Maple Ave, Harleysville, PA 19438 with a viewing from 1 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. and the second funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 28th at 11:30 a.m. at Palm Schwenkfelder Church, 833 Gravel Pike, Palm, PA 18070 with a burial to follow in the church cemetery. A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. to 11:15 a.m.

            Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Palm Schwenkfelder Church and Peter Becker Community at the above addresses.
