William G. Bender
2025-04-21

            William George Bender Sr., 64, formerly of East Greenville, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 7th, 2025. He was the son of the late Ralph and Pearl (Yerger) Bender.

            William worked for Brown Printing as a Master Printer for a good period

of timeand then he worked as a Spackle Person/Carpenter with William Jr.. He loved all animals but most definitely his peacocks. He was generous to a fault and would give his own shirt off his back for someone. He was a wild and free spirit.

            William is survived by his son, William Jr. and his wife Pauleen of East Greenville, his grandchildren: Kayla Marie, Cassidy Lynn, William III, and Marcus Bender; and his siblings: Paul Bender and his wife Rebecca, and Gail Bender Decaro and her husband Frank. His 3 nieces, 3 nephews, 4 great nieces and 1 great nephew. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Damien; his sister, Linda Bender Trumbauer and her husband Butch; and a nephew, Justin Bender.

            All are invited to gather with his family to celebrate his life on May 3th at American Legion Post #184, 744 Gravel Pike, East Greenville, from 1 – 6 p.m.
