Each year, the Berks County Public Library System honors those who support and enrich the work of its member libraries. Nominations are reviewed and selected by members of the System Advisory Board, with awards presented at a special recognition event early in the year.
The Boyertown Community Library nominated Preston's Pantry, a program of the Boyertown Area Multi-Service, in appreciation of the ongoing partnership between the two organizations. As a local food donation site for the Pantry and a participant in Preston's Pantry's annual Festival of Trees, the library has found the collaboration both meaningful and impactful.
"We felt strongly about nominating Preston's Pantry because of the way they support our community and welcome partnerships with organizations like ours," said a representative from the Boyertown Community Library. "It's been a joy to work together in service of our shared community."
The Outstanding Community Organization Award highlights Preston's Pantry's commitment not only to food security but also to community connection, education, and service. This recognition reflects the Pantry's ongoing efforts to build strong, supportive ties across Boyertown and the surrounding areas.
