Robert H. Hermley
Robert H. Hermley, 72, of East Greenville, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, April 14th, 2025. Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Leonard and
Margaret (Ounsworth) Hermley. He was the beloved husband of Jeanne (Kelso) Hermley.
He worked as a Tinsmith for Merck Pharmaceutical, Rohm & Haas, and Wilhelm where he earned his nickname "Bumper." Bob was an avid carpenter who loved to build things for his family, friends, and church. He enjoyed going to the beach, camping, watching the Eagles and Phillies, and spending time with his grandkids.
His love of life and deep faith in God was an inspiration to all that crossed his path. He was an active member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church and the Fr. Leo Letterhouse Council #6614 of the Knights of Columbus. He was also a member of the Upper Perkiomen Lions Club.
Along with his wife, Robert is survived by his children: Jeanne A. Hermley of Philadelphia; Dianna Olszewski, and her husband "Tall Son" Ryan of Macungie, Heather A. Hermley of Hamburg, and Robert H. Hermley Jr., and his wife, Melissa of Haddon Heights, NJ; and his grandchildren: Peter, Andrew, Jacob, Molly, Zac, Julianna, Bryce, and Evelyn. He was predeceased by his siblings: Tommy, Lenny, Michael, John, Peggy, Edna, and his twin, Helen.
All are invited to a viewing on Thursday, April 24th, 2025, from 9 – 11 a.m. with a Funeral Mass to follow, at 11 a.m. at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 1325 Klinerd Rd. Pennsburg, PA 18073. He will be laid to rest in Holy Cross Cemetery, Pennsburg.
