Joseph E. Faust Jr.
2025-04-07

Joseph E. Faust Jr., of Sumneytown, passed away on April 4, 2025, at the age of 78. Born in Schwenksville, Joseph was the beloved son of the late Joseph E. and Thelma (Hallman) Faust, Sr.

A 1965 graduate of Upper Perk High School, Joseph served honorably in the United States Army. After his service, he dedicated over 20 years of his life to Hatfield Packing, where he worked in the Smokehouse and Bake and Press Departments. Following his retirement, he found joy in working at Chiaro's Pizza in Pennsburg.

An avid reader, Joseph found solace in books and was often found immersed in crossword puzzles or watching Animal Kingdom. He was also a member of Frieden's United Church of Christ in Sumneytown.

Joseph was married to the love of his life, Bonnie (Walker) Faust, for 50 wonderful years. Their bond remained unbreakable until her passing in 2017, and each time he spoke of her, it was clear that she held a special place in his heart. His family was his pride and joy.

He is survived by his children, Dwayne A. Faust and wife, Dina, David L. Faust and Danielle C. Gildein; four grandchildren, JoeyI, Delaney, Amanda and Mason; siblings, Richard Faust and Sharon Manfredi; and sister-in-law, Carol Faust. In addition to his wife, he is predeceased by a sister, Sandra Smith; and half-brother, Robert Faust.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 11, 2025 at Frieden's United Church of Christ, 1011 Church Road, Sumneytown, PA 18084. Family and friends are invited to a visitation starting at 1 p.m. in church.

Arrangements are entrusted to Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, East Greenville, PA.

Offer sympathy to the family at www.mannslonakerfuneralhome.com.
