Faye L. Bernhard
2025-03-31

September 14, 1931 - March 28, 2025

Faye L. Bernhard, 93, of Boyertown and formerly of Perkiomenville, passed

away peacefully surrounded by family on Friday, March 28th, 2025. She was a daughter of the late Raymond and Pearl (Rothrock) Schmoyer and she was the beloved wife of the late William "Beanie" Bernhard.

She was a longtime member of Frieden's United Church of Christ in Sumneytown where she was a

faithful member of the Senior Choir for many years, worked as Sexton along with her husband,

Altar Guild member, Search Committee member, and participated in and taught the Adult Sunday School Class.

Faye loved being outside tending to her flower beds, vegetable garden, and in the fall Raking leaves. She also loved music and could be heard singing a tune while she was a seamstress for her family's dry-cleaning business, the former Schmoyer's Cleaners, in Boyertown. She would sing a song or hum a tune doing everyday work. Her beautiful voice will be missed by all.

Faye is survived by her children: Susan Lorish and her husband, Randy of Perkiomenville, Ty of Wallingford, PA, Melissa and her husband, Joseph Seasholtz of Gilbertsville, and her daughter in Law, Jane Bernhard of Pennsburg; her grandchildren: Randy II, Holly, Timothy, Eli, Erica, Sarah, Joshua, Morgan & Logan; her great grandchildren: Caitlin, Kelsey, Brandy, Christopher, Holden, Wyatt, Evie, and Jillian, James Jr., and Joshua; her great, great grandchildren: Adrianna, Caleb, Jaxson, Lucy, and Theodore; and her sister, Joanne Diener. Along with her husband, she was predeceased by her son, Joel; and her siblings: Miriam Dobson, and Donald, Alton, and Gordon Schmoyer.

All are invited to a viewing from 10 – 11 a.m. on Friday, at Frieden's United Church of Christ, 1011 Church Rd. Green Lane, PA 18054, with a service to follow at 11 a.m. Following the service, she will be laid to rest in Friedens Union Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested in her memory to the Frieden's UCC, 1011 Church St., PO Box 268, Sumneytown, PA 18084, or the Alzheimer's Foundation, alzfdn.org.
