Edward “Ed” Jakoby, Sr.
2025-03-25

            Edward "Ed" Jakoby, Sr, 83, of Spring City, TN, formerly of Red Hill, PA, 

went home to be with the Lord on March 24, 2025, surrounded by his family. He was born in Green Lane, Pa. on May 6, 1941, to Julius and Edith Miller Jakoby.

            Ed was a 1959 graduate of Upper Perkiomen High School, East Greenville, PA. He had a long career with C&D Batteries and retired after 45 years. Ed was a member of the Pikeville, Tn. Jaycee's. He also enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling, and fishing.

             He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 45 years Betty Heimbach Jakoby, infant daughter, parents Julius and Edith Miller Jakoby, granddaughter Allison Danielle Jakoby and sister Babara Haas.

            Surviving are his children: Edward "Ed" (Kathy) Jakoby Jr, Todd (Tina) Jakoby, Jay (Teresa) Jakoby and Jody (Brett) Cox, grandchildren: Stephany (Alan) Thomas, Tiffany (Josh) Johnson, Vincent Jakoby, Brittany (Curt) Holmes, Jerrica (Ethan) Warren, Jason (Michelle) Royal, Emily (Tyler) Boring, Chad Jakoby, Selena (Jason) York, and   Alisha (Kyle) Vaughan; great-grandchildren: Hayden Jakoby, Jakoby Johnson, Haleigh Bodine, Addie Royal, Kyler Snow, Matthew Royal, Franklin Boring, William Todd Holmes, Willow Jaymes Warren, Issak York, Skylar Vaughan, Kylie Smith and Skylar Smith, Siblings: Doris Conrad, William "Bill" Jakoby, and Sandy (Bill) Harter.

            Funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at 4 p.m. with Bro. Jimmy Jewell officiating, in the chapel of Coulter Garrison Funeral Home located at1670 Market Street in Dayton, TN 37321. The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until the time of service.

            In lieu of flowers, the family ask that contributions may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Chattanooga at 1 Siskin Dr., Chattanooga, TN 37403.
