Nancy A. Berthel
2025-03-18

            Nancy A. Berthel (McCloskey), 92 yrs old of Richland Twp, PA, passed

away on March 15, at Phoebie Richland. Nancy was born in Philadelphia, PA on Oct 11, 1932, to Arthur Jack McCloskey and Victoria (Aluska).

            Nancy spent her early childhood living in Venezuela, SA, as her father was working for Standard Oil. She returned to the USA, to attend school. Nancy graduated from Bensalem High School and went on to work for Rohm & Haas, Bristol, PA. while there she was VP of the R&H social club. She then went on to work for The Frederick's Company, Huntington Valley , PA, where she worked as glass blower for 32 yrs.

            Nancy was a talented artist, with interests in calligraphy, illustration and painting.

            Nancy is survived by her son Michael and his wife Theresa; grandchildren, Maryanne Creighton (Berthel) and her husband, Matt and Lucas Berthel; great grandchildren Alyce, Wolfric and Emmet Creighton; niece, Vickie Arceri, and her husband Jim; nephew John Mcloskey Jr.and his wife, Carol; and other great nieces and nephews. Nancy was preceded in death by her husband Bruce Berthel, her daughter Patricia O'Haire (Berthel), and her brother John McCloskey.

            A Funeral Mass will be on Saturday, March 29th at 12 p.m. at St Philip Neri Parish, 1325 Klinerd Rd, Pennsburg. Friends may visit from 11 a.m. until services. Internment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Quakertown Rd, Pennsburg PA.

            In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the PAN Foundation www.panfoundation.org.
