UPBPW 2024 Woman of the Year
2025-03-12

Amanda "Mandy" Ruth has been named the 2024 Woman of the Year by the Upper Perkiomen Business and Professional Women.

Amanda "Mandy" Ruth, left, has been named the 2024 Woman of the

Year by the Upper Perkiomen BPW.  Joining her are PA Representative

Milou Mackenzie, Chairperson of the Woman of the year Verona Roden-

berger, and UPBPW President Vicki Lightcap McCarrick.

Ruth joined the UPBPW in 2019 and quickly jumped in and offered to keep track of the memberships volunteer hours by chairing the Eleanor Knock Award Committee. She still does this task to the present day.

As part of the governing board, she took over the instrumental position of treasurer. She had vision and direction and kept the BPW on point with district and state policies and procedures.

Ruth worked with the 2nd Vice President and President to streamline bookkeeping procedures and the reporting and budget process.

She acquired the assistance of an accountant to resolve major modifications to QuickBooks. Ruth's gracious, timely and satisfactory approach to opening records to the audit committee has been appreciated.

When there is a community "First Monday Meal", oldies dance, bingo or other events, Ruth always steps in to help, whether it is providing the funds or checks for the event or being there on that day to assist in any way possible.

Ruth attended Kutztown University, earning a degree in elementary education. Because she was determined to improve the lives of those around her and the children of our community, she taught 4th grade at Perkiomen Valley Elementary School.

For the last 23 years, because she has always striving to do better, she has led her teams, as a delivery manager, in the technical solutions department at Almac Clinical Technologies, Lansdale.

Ruth has succeeded in life due to her patience, persistence, and professional approach to each day.

She is the daughter of Frank and Jeanne Ruth and married to Damon Saul. Both graduated from Upper Perkiomen High School in 1993. Mandy and Damon live in Marlborough Township and have two adult children, Savanna Fluck, a BPW member, and Eric Ruth, and an 18-month-old grandchild. Her family is Mandy's priority.
