Barry Lynn Schmoyer
2025-03-12

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Barry Lynn Schmoyer on March 8, 2025, at his home in Sanford, North Carolina. He was 69 years old.

Barry was born on January 18, 1956, in Sellersville, Pennsylvania to Linford Schmoyer and Verne (Styer) Schmoyer.

He grew up in Pennsburg, PA, and attended Upper Perkiomen High School, graduating with the class of 1974. He later built a dedicated career as a forklift operator at Knoll Furniture in East Greenville, PA.

Barry was a devoted husband to Kathleen (Law) Schmoyer, with whom he shared many cherished years. He is also survived by his sister, Linda Romano, and her husband, Paul Romano; his stepson, Justin, and his family; as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

A passionate sports fan, Barry loved cheering for the Philadelphia Phillies, the Philadelphia Eagles, and the Penn State Nittany Lions. He also enjoyed fishing and spending time with friends. He was a proud member of the VFW in both Red Hill, PA, and Sanford, NC, a national member of the American Legion, and a member of the East Greenville Firehouse.

The family is planning a celebration of Barry's life in Pennsylvania at a later date, with details to be announced.

His kindness, loyalty, and love for his family and friends will be deeply missed.
