Doris Keller
2025-03-10

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Doris Keller, beloved

mother, grandmother and dedicated friend, who passed away on March 8, 2025, at the age of 79.

Born in Finland to the late Lloyd and Althea (Batman) Derr, Doris exemplified a life rich with love, compassion, and a spirit of adventure that touched all who knew her.

Doris was a proud 1963 graduate of Upper Perk High School. She found great joy in her life, marrying W. Donald Keller, with whom she shared a beautiful partnership for 32 years before his sudden passing in 2006. Together, they built a loving home and a nurturing environment for their son, Derrek, who she cherished deeply.

Doris dedicated much of her life to raising Derrek, ensuring that their home was filled with love and warmth. Though she had a successful career in sales prior to becoming a full-time mother, her greatest achievement was nurturing her family. Family was the cornerstone of Doris's life. She took immense pride in attending her grandchildren's sporting events, celebrating their achievements, and creating lasting memories together.

Throughout her life, Doris had a passion for exploration. She enjoyed traveling extensively across the United States and internationally, always eager to experience new cultures and landscapes. Doris also treasured her time in her garden and with her high school friends, often reminiscing about the joyous adventures they shared in their youth.

She was also a member of St. John's Lutheran Church.

Doris will be lovingly remembered by her son, Derrek Keller and wife, Jacqui; and her two grandchildren, Owen and Julia Keller. In addition to her parents and husband, she is predeceased by a daughter, Deanne Keller.

A memorial service will be held on 11 a.m. on Friday, March 14, 2025 at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington St., East Greenville, PA 18041 with a burial to follow in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery in Red Hill. A visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to St. John's Lutheran Church, 3104 Main St., Green Lane, PA 18054.
