Thomas E. Dunn
2025-02-22

            Thomas E. Dunn, 81, of Phoebe Miller Personal Care, Allentown, PA,

previously of Zionsville, passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2025 at Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest Hospice. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Diane L. Dunn in July of 2024.

            Born in Sioux Falls, SD, he was the son of the late Thomas J. and Edna (Preisler) Dunn.

            Tom was a graduate of Allentown Central Catholic High School '61, University of Scranton '65 and earned a bachelor of Laws from La Salle University.

            He was a U.S. Army Veteran 1966-68, serving in Germany.

            He was employed in the business sector by a number of companies including the National Transportation Safety Board, Buckeye Pipeline, Kelly Ford, AARP and Prudential.

            Tom was a member of Palm Schwenkfelder Church, East Greenville Lions Club, where he served as President in 2000, the Ancient Order of Hibernians and a former member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles.

            He was an avid golfer. He and Diane loved to travel to beach towns and the Poconos. He also enjoyed getting together in Williamsburg, VA with some classmates from University of Scranton every Christmas season.

            Tom is survived by his brother, Robert (Charlene) of Citrus Spring, FL; sisters, Kathleen Haas (Richard) and Patricia Andrews (Jeffrey) both of Bethlehem, PA; sister-in-law, Nancy Menio (Pete) of Athens, PA; and several nieces and nephews.

            A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, February 28, 2025 at Palm Schwenkfelder Church, 833 Gravel Pike, Palm, PA 18070 with Rev. Nicholas Pence officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. You may greet the family beginning at 10 a.m.

            Arrangements are entrusted to Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, East Greenville. Offer sympathy to the family at www.mannslonakerfuneralhome.com.

            In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the University of Scranton Golf Team or the Palm Schwenkfelder Church.
